Managing a Blended Workforce - Best Practices for Oversight, Ethics and Security in the Mixed Government-Contractor Workplace

February 26, 2009 Arlington, VA ◊ June 11, 2009 Arlington, VA

The significant expansion of service-based contracting demands that managers and government employees possess basic understanding of contract administration procedures and best practices for supervisor’s leading blended workforces. In most organizations there is no specialized preparation specifically designed to prepare non-acquisition employees and managers for leading mixed government-contractor teams. As the government increasingly uses commercial augmentation to perform many of its most basic functions, it is critically important that all employees understand the rules, expectations and boundaries that define the government-contractor relationship.
